All proceeds of this Treble Reel Special are donated to Children's Hospital in Oakland, California. After the birth of a disabled grandchild, Ann McBride and the McBride Family decided to "pay it forward" to Children's Hospital for the care and services they provide, not only to their family member, but to any child with medical needs. The proceeds of this special are just a small token of appreciation and gratitude that the McBride Family holds for Children's Hospital.
Oireachtas 8- Hand Team Perpetual Trophies: With the East Bay Feis taking place approximately one month prior to the Western U.S. Region Oireachtas, the McBride School and the East Bay Feis Committee wanted to recognize the hard work and dedication of 8-Hand Teams preparing to compete at the Regional Championships.
With that in Mind, the following five (5) Perpetual Trophies are awarded every year to the winning 8-Hand Team and School in the U8, U10, U12, U15 and 15&O Open 8-Hand Competitions.
